Minutes of the MIWS Guild
April 1st Better late than not.
16 people present We had
one guest Jennifer visiting Joyce from Ottawa
Discussion on The
library-which we currently don’t have a location for so we are not
renewing Handwoven as we can get DVD's of a year later on sale for
our library.
Books that weren’t
bought that we decided not to keep were taken to the Sally Anne.

and Jeannette Roberts
suggested we start producing things for it in the colours of the
conference and then we decide what to put in the display.
We had a discussion on the
Workshop on Coast Salish knitting and Liz was to
contact the book publisher & organize the Coast Salish Knitting
workshop for either May or in the fall
Jeanette Roberts talked
about the Steven Lewis Foundation Grandmothers group that make items
to sell for the Grandmothers that are bring up grandchildren because
their parents have died of Aids.
Betty moved that we have a
speaker and Liz seconded it. I think this was to do with the Steven
Lewis Foundation But not sure?
Lynn adjourned the meeting
and maybe the Betty moved we adjourn and Liz seconded it?

The Magmatic Boom was the shawl Jennifer was
wearing. It is a variation of the Magmatic Shawl Joyce
brought in in the fall, both designed by Laura Nelkin.
